PayPal and the future of money

Abstract
My team at PayPal have a global remit to ensure that we have the optimal support model in place for our consumers and business customers as they navigate the PayPal product in their market. This includes ensuring our customer service teams are prepared to support customer queries and also that our products are aligned to our customers needs and requirements. We lead hundreds of PayPal strategic initiatives in a given year and we work cross functionally, building strong relationships across the globe ensuring we deliver excellent customer service and sustainable solutions and results. Customer advocacy is at the heart of what we do and everyone at PayPal is a customer champion. I will discuss my teams remit at PayPal and some of the challenges we face as a global team. I will share an overview of PayPals presence in Ireland and how we support PayPal customers across the globe. This will include the PayPal vision and culture and our consumer, merchant and risk strategies.

Mairéad McIlkenny is Senior Director at PayPal for Global Enterprise Services Product Integration, Customer Advocacy & Knowledge Management. 18+ years’ successfully leading & managing global project delivery teams in the Technology industry, Mairéad joined PayPal in 2009 to establish the Operational Excellence Project Management Office and currently leads a global team of program managers, customer advocacy, quality and knowledge management experts in PayPal who drive the customer experience and operational support for PayPal’s product and marketing releases. Mairéad was awarded her Bachelor in Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway, her MSc in Management from the University of South Wales where her area of focus was in employee engagement. Mairéad is PMP certified and a member of the Marketing Institute in Ireland.
